Hear Here Debuts at SFO
You Are Here, the music festival at San Francisco Airport, presents the Magik*Magik String Quartet on June 25, 2010, from 11am to 3pm, playing the music of Hear Here composers Alexis Alrich, Dan Becker, Michael Kaulkin, Belinda Reynolds, Clark Suprynowicz in the concourse of the airport.
This will also be a video-event, with the proceedings documented by filmmaker Mark Altenberg ... if you don't make it to the airport that day, we'll be online in July !

The Magik*Magik String Quartet is the small but mighty version of the Magik*Magik Orchestra, a modular orchestra of 100 classical musicians between the ages of 18 and 35 from Northern California. Minna Choi founded Magik*Magik in 2008, and immediately sold out out Herbst Hall in San Francisco with a concert featuring the music of Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood. A recent return to Herbst Hall was in the company of Sting. Other Bay Area shows have included guests Tin Hat Trio and John Vanderslice.
